ABOUT US
We exist to make major complex events run with precision.
The Site Department is a specialist event operations and site management company. We are built on experience, structured by systems and driven by a single standard: delivering what was promised — safely, on time and within budget.

WHERE WE CAME FROM
Built from the inside out.
The Site Department was founded by Joshua Green after two decades operating in some of the most challenging major live event environments. Not advising. Not observing. Running the ground.
Joshua built his career across every level of event operations — from boots-on-ground to leading delivery for some of Australia's largest touring productions and stadium shows. Along the way, he also operated from the promoter side, where he understood what it really means when an operational decision costs money, damages a relationship, or puts a licence at risk.
That combined perspective — operational depth plus commercial intelligence — is the foundation of The Site Department. We were built to operate the way event promoters actually need their management partners to operate: with ownership, discipline and no surprises.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
Most management companies provide people. We provide outcomes.
We think like promoters
Commercial discipline is built into everything we do. We understand the financial reality of events because of where we have come from. Budget protection, scope management and clean settlement are not afterthoughts — they are how we work.
We plan before we act
The work that prevents problems happens in the planning phase, not on the day. Our team builds the framework well before the site occupancy occurs.
We document everything
If it's not documented, it didn't happen. Every decision, every change, every cost, every briefing — captured, filed and retrievable.
We build systems, not workarounds
Where others improvise, we systematise. Repeatable processes, centralised datasets and structured communication mean the operation doesn't depend on any single individual.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
How we think about event operations.
Systems before schedules
A good schedule without the right system behind it will fail. We build the operational architecture first, before any data input.
Ownership over assignment
We don't assign tasks — we assign ownership. Every team member understands what they're responsible for and has the authority to manage it.
Calm is a skill
High-pressure environments don't require more energy — they require more clarity and composure. We operate with deliberate calm because it is more effective.
Early involvement creates value
The further upstream we are involved, the more value we deliver. Pre-production planning, stakeholder alignment and budget protection are most effective when started early.
NATIONAL CAPABILITY
The same standard. Every city. Every time.
We operate nationally with the same systems, the same documentation standards and the same commitment to quality across every event we deliver. Whether it's a stadium concert in Sydney or a regional festival in Queensland, the process doesn't change.

Systems-led. Safety-led. Outcome-led.
Three principles that guide every decision, every plan and every event we deliver.
